Employee Spotlight – Keith Doucette, Global Care and Impact Manager

August 17, 2026

What inspired you to choose QTS for your SkillBridge experience, and how did our mission, culture and purpose resonate with you from day one?

I first heard about QTS at the inaugural Stop Soldier Suicide Golf Invitational through friends and fellow Army veterans Darrian Winston and Greg Wuestner. Greg spoke highly of QTS and encouraged me to learn more about the company.

As I prepared to retire from the Army two years later, I took him up on that offer. What stood out to me was QTS’s commitment to servant leadership, community impact and living its values every day.

What was your role in the military, and which branch did you serve in?

I served in the U.S. Army for 21 years, from January 2005 to January 2026. I spent the first ten years with the 82nd Airborne Division in field artillery as a Forward Observer and Fire Direction specialist, including two combat deployments to Iraq.

I later served with the 25th Infantry Division in Hawaii before finishing my career as a recruiter in Rome, Georgia. Throughout every role, I focused on serving others and supporting my community, a philosophy that continues to guide me today.

What advice would you give to service members considering SkillBridge, and why should they consider QTS as their landing spot?

Service members should consider QTS because the company actively lives the values the military teaches: service, integrity and commitment to others. QTS employees are always looking for ways to improve themselves and create a lasting, positive impact in the communities they serve.

How did your SkillBridge internship prepare you to contribute on day one in your full-time role with QTS?

SkillBridge helped me transition both into my role at QTS and into civilian life. It served as a 90-day interview, giving me opportunities to learn the business, build relationships and demonstrate my value as a future QTSer.

Just as importantly, it allowed me to get to know my teammates and gradually adjust to civilian life, making the transition much smoother than it otherwise might have been.

Who at QTS, mentor, leader or teammate, had the most meaningful impact on your journey, and how did they help you navigate your transition from service to civilian career?

Without a doubt, Darrian Winston had the biggest impact on my journey. Our shared Army background and longstanding friendship provided trust and support throughout the hiring and onboarding process.

Chayla Harris-Gaines also played an important role. From helping me navigate SharePoint and benefits decisions to simply being a supportive teammate, she made my transition to QTS much easier. I could never thank either of them enough.
