The QTS Difference

Investing in local priorities to build stronger communities

We support local projects that matter to the community.

QTS data centers are long-term developments that help communities invest in growth, enrich neighborhoods and improve lives over many years. QTS data centers generate tax revenues and help fund local programs. We support community priorities with resources for new parks, hospitals, schools, roads and first responders.

QTS is a responsible neighbor in the communities where we operate. That means contributing meaningfully to local priorities, being transparent in how we engage and ensuring our presence strengthens the places we call home.

We measure success not only by the digital infrastructure we deliver, but by the tangible benefits our communities experience.

Making an economic impact

As responsible neighbors, QTS contributes to the local tax base that supports the services community residents rely on every day. Our developments contribute significant tax revenue that supports schools, roads, housing and public services, helping communities invest in growth while easing pressure on residents. We engage early and listen, align with local leadership and community stakeholders to ensure our developments support local priorities and deliver shared value.

Data centers support strong communities. By strengthening local tax bases, funding schools and supporting workforce development, data centers help foster economic stability and long-term community value. These investments benefit not only municipalities, but also residents and homeowners who rely on strong schools and healthy local economies.

Across the U.S., QTS data center developments generate millions in meaningful tax revenue, helping fund local schools, parks, hospitals, roads, first responders and other essential community resources.

As a result of QTS’s data center campus in Fayetteville, Georgia, it is estimated that QTS will contribute more than $1 billion in state and local taxes over the next 15 years. This is expected to significantly reduce the county’s reliance on residential taxes.

Currently, a portion of QTS’s tax bill goes to the Fayette County schools and that portion is the equivalent of seven teachers’ salaries.

As part of its long-term commitment to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, QTS is contributing up to $18 million to the Cedar Rapids-owned Community Betterment Fund. These funds will direct future investments in projects throughout the city.

QTS’s Richmond campus represents an estimated $5 billion investment in Central Virginia. As part of this commitment, QTS is contributing to the Henrico County Affordable Housing Trust, helping to expand access to affordable housing and create more homeownership opportunities for county residents.

QTS’s Cambois data center campus represents a significant inward investment of up to £10 billion, one of the largest in the UK, significantly enhancing the region’s infrastructure.

Prioritizing domestic manufacturing

QTS prioritizes domestic manufacturing for all critical equipment in our robust supply chain. Our approach to procurement ensures that we are able to address both immediate and future infrastructure needs for our customers.

Our Fayetteville, Georgia data center campus exclusively uses U.S. made generators, structural streel and concrete.

In Cedar Rapids, Iowa, QTS has invested over $1 billion dollars in U.S. manufactured supply chain in the construction of our data center campus. Partner suppliers manufacture in the Midwest, which ultimately brings jobs to Cedar Rapids.

Making a community impact

Beyond tax contributions, QTS invests directly in the communities where we operate through corporate giving, volunteerism and local partnerships designed to meet real needs.

Through our robust community‑giving programs, including employee volunteerism, corporate‑sponsored events, grants to charitable organizations and success‑based giving, QTS works to enrich communities and improve lives.
