Our water strategy focuses on programs, partnerships and
initiatives that reduce our water reliance, reuse water where possible and help replenish water in water-scarce areas. These calculated efforts help us meet our target of a portfolio-wide annual WUE reduction of 5%.
When compared to data centers using evaporative cooling, QTS Water-Free Cooling Design data centers that were operational in 2025 could have avoided consuming 7.5 billion gallons of water
Delivered Water Usage Effectiveness (WUE) of 0.44 representing a year-over-year improvement of 46%
Saved over 21 million+ gallons of water through water-saving and reuse practices in 2025
Our Sustainability Strategy addresses energy challenges by increasing our use of carbon-free energy, continually striving to improve our energy efficiency, and helping support updates to grid infrastructure and long-term energy cost stability in the communities where we operate.
Achieved 100% utilization of carbon-free operational electricity by our facilities*
Continued to invest in utility partnerships that benefit the grid and communities through solar energy
Delivered an average Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.38 across our operational data center portfolio
Continued to invest in renewable energy and battery energy storage systems
